FLEXIZYME at Chemistry for Future 2026
From 1 to 3 July 2026, FLEXIZYME was represented at the Chemistry for Future (CFF) conference, hosted by the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry of the University of Pisa (UNIPI) in Pisa, Italy. CFF is a yearly international conference on the frontier of chemical research, now in its 10th edition. Each year, the event brings together scientists from different sectors of chemistry.
At the event, UNIPI contributed to the programme through the submission of an abstract and the presentation of a poster entitled:
“FLEXIZYME: purification of enzymatically-produced fatty amines by a new sustainable purification protocol”.
The presented work explored an innovative downstream strategy for the isolation and purification of fatty amines.
By combining innovative downstream processing with biotechnology and green chemistry principles, FLEXIZYME continues to advance more sustainable alternatives for applications in sectors including cosmetics, detergents, agriculture, and other bio-based industries.
